Dear Friend,
Of course you want to be trim and healthy. Nobody wants to be fat,
but it seems like everybody thinks you just don’t care.
They look down there noses at you and even make cruel jokes.

I do.
Being heavy really does hurt. Your pain comes in so many forms,
but nobody seems to understand or even care.
Emotionally, you’re a wreck. You feel like an outsider. Mentally,
you know something’s not right. You’re starving all
the time, and you take in more comfort food than anything else.
Physically, it hurts to tie your own shoes and you feel your heart
strain if you walk up stairs or play with your kids.

I’ll go on a diet:
It’s a fact that fad diets usually don’t work and they

There are no weight loss miracles, amazing tricks, or mesmerizing

I’ll Take Diet Pills:
Most “diet pills” are stimulants. They speed up your
heart rate. (Just what an overweight person that never exercises
needs, right?) They trick your mind into thinking you’ve just
run a marathon and ate a three pound steak. This can’t be
healthy can it?
So what happens…?
You end up as nervous as a jack rabbit and ill as a hornet. Plus,
the minute you stop taking the pills all the weight piles back on
faster than you lost it, a lot faster. You find yourself eating
for comfort just to feel sane again.
I’ll Just Exercise:
While exercise is 100% sound, most heavy people tend to try too
hard and not for very long.
You feel like you’re in such a state of disrepair you really
need to hit the gym two hours a day just to catch up and you over
do it, and you quit.
Exercise is a must, but it’s a ramp up process. I started
at 4 minutes a day. Now I excercise 15 to 20 minutes a day, and
I love it.
I’ll Starve:
This is the dumbest one of all, and I see it all the time. People
decide only to eat at certain times, to only eat certain foods,
only eat for their blood type (whatever that’s about) or decide
not to eat at all. NUTS!
Your body won’t let you starve it, period. Starvation in
any form, even in short periods can be VERY dangerous. Don’t
be stupid.
The Surgery Option:
The latest new trend in weight loss is gastric bypass surgery.
While in some cases of severe obesity or weight related health
conditions bypass surgery is potentially a life saver, but abuse
has already begun with clinics off shore doing the surgery for anyone
with $30 K in cash and a love for Mexican doctors.
The allure is great. Lose weight without will power. It’s
the American dream. All you have to do is risk major surgery downers
like death or serious complications.
